My Own Story ... Why I Got Started
For most of my working career I was in, or around, the automobile industry. I did very well, and to most people, I had a very good job. My biggest complaint was the rediculous amount of hours I was expected to work. A year after our youngest child was born, I made the decision to move into upper management with the full expectation of a more family-friendly schedule and a higher income.
Shortly thereafter, it became obvious that unless my name was on the building I would never have a family-friendly schedule working for someone else. My responsibilities had increased, my hours had increased and somehow due to a change in management payplans - my income actually began to decrease. My "great job" was now putting my family in jeopardy.
The final straw was my looking back on the first 2 years of my son's life and realizing I could count the number of times I had personally given him a bath on one hand. I knew something had to change. This was not the life I had envisioned for my family. I deserved more. We deserved more. We began looking for a way to replace my income, increase our net worth and bring me home to my wife and family.
We were committed to finding a business we could run from home and looked at many different options... everything from starting our own recruiting agency to multi-level marketing, to franchises, to powerselling on internet auctions. Nothing seemed to be the right fit for our situation. We didn't have much money to work with and we wanted to be able to replace my income quickly, plus have the opportunity to earn far more as we grew our business.
Then it happened. I answered an ad on-line that said...
